Our Programs
IMPACT JOURNEY K-12th GRADE
This program is designed for children in grade Kindergarten-12th to obtain educational services that are individualized to meet their specific IEP and developmental goals in a small, structured classroom setting. All of the students at IJS are on adapted curriculum. This program provides individualized teaching sessions and small group lessons to effectively differentiate instruction to meet each child’s specific needs and delays. This includes one-on-one teaching sessions, small group math and reading lessons, hands-on science activities and fine motor development. This program maintains a teacher/student ratio of 1:3. The hours of this program are 8:00-2:30.
IMPACT JOURNEY AFTER-SCHOOL
This program provides after school childcare services for current students enrolled at IJS from 2:30-5:30 Monday-Friday. This program provides homework assistance to each student each day. This program provides basic childcare and many opportunities for play and social interaction with other peers. Children will have snack each afternoon. This program maintains a teacher/student ratio of 1:6.
IMPACT JOURNEY SUMMER CAMP
Our summer camp program provides extended school year education for children with special needs. The purpose of our summer camp is to decrease regression throughout the summer months by providing educational services to maintain each child's current level of functioning. This program provides individualized teaching sessions, social skills training, daily art and fine motor activities, and a focus on functional communication and language. The summer camp program hours are from 8:30-12:30 each day for 4 weeks throughout the month of July.
